Too cute doll surf boards

"Ohhhh look what Hannah and I found @ Target today!!! They are surf board shaped peg boards..but we left the pegs off and they are the perfect size for the AG dolls! The dolls were surfin' all day! too cute! They were only $2.50 each, in the dollar bins near the front of the store.
Elizabeth is wearing the "Day At The Beach" set from Emily Rose at Home.  It comes with the cute blue bikini and 2 pairs of shorts, one denim and one white cotton. Perfect for a day of surfing!

Cute No Sew Purse Craft

Here is a cute no sew craft from Doll Diaries.  No doll can have too many purses right?  The possibilities are endless! Here are the directions:   Please visit Doll Diaries for more fun doll craft ideas!

These purses sling over a dolls shoulder like a normal purse-but for 18 inch dolls. They have flaps and attach themselves.

What you need:

• To make one you need some fabric (the thicker the better)
• a hot glue gun (please have adult supervision when using)
• velcro
• scissors
• ribbon
• buttons (optional)

How to make the no sew purse:

• First you cut the fabric into a square 4 inches by 3 inches.
• Next you heat up the glue gun. Once it’s hot enough, fold the fabric evenly and glue the edges.
• Now you should have something that’s got an opening at the top.
• If you want a flap cut a triangle that is as wide as the purse. Glue this onto the back of the purse. Glue small squares of velcro to the top op the flap, and under it where it hooks.
• For the strap, cut enough ribbon that would sling over your doll’s shoulder.
• Glue this onto the purse and you can add decals or other decorations – use your creativity.

Cute crochet beanies for your 18" doll

Every doll needs a cute trendy beanie to complete her outfit, right?  So guess what, I had to learn how to crochet!  Youtube saved me when I thought, I just dont get this...and voila..youtube.  Just like having a teacher there to help you.  I must have hit the pause button 100 times, but hey, I'm crocheting now! Hannah is thrilled.  Now, she wants matching hats too, hmmm new idea, matching girl and doll beanies! I like it.  So here is a picture of 2 beanies.  What do you think?

New at American Girl: My American Girl & Inner Star U

The "Just Like You" dolls have changed to the "My American Girl", and they have a whole new online world : Inner Star University, where you can create your doll and she can travel all over the town.

When you buy a My American Girl Doll, she comes with a code that you use to unlock the online word. Pretty neat. As a mom I am always cautious about online gaming sites, but knowing this is backed by AG, I feel pretty safe!

The New American Girl catalog came yesterday, and I just about lost a finger when I handed it off to Hannah.  When I finally got a chance to look, I see that they have added some new dolls to the new line, and they are gorgeous!  Some have very hip new hairstyles, pierced ears, even braces can be added! They also come with a cute charm necklace that you an collect charms for. I'm impressed.

The online site looks like fun, and the prices on the dolls did not go up. (yea)

Hannah has been saving for a Jess doll ($150 on e bay) but there is a My American Girl that looks so much like Jess, that Hannah is thinking she doesn't NEED a Jess, maybe she will get the "look alike" to Jess.
